About Myosotis discolor Pers.

Myosotis discolor Pers. is a hairy annual or perennial herb. It reaches 10 to 50 centimeters in height, and has a slender, sometimes branching, erect stem. The plant bears sparse leaves that are linear, lance-shaped, or oblong; these leaves grow up to 4 centimeters long and less than 1 centimeter wide, and are covered in straight hairs. The inflorescence forms a coiled or curved cluster of tiny flowers, each less than 2 millimeters across, located on the upper portion of the stem on short pedicels. Flowers are yellow or cream when they first open, then change to pink, and finally to blue as they mature. This sequence of color changes gives the species its common name.
