About Mylothris rueppellii (Koch, 1865)
Mylothris rueppellii (Koch, 1865) has distinct wing features: the upperside of the wings has a striking trait, where deep orange basal scaling covers approximately half of the forewing cell. The underside of the wings is pale white or cream, with faint markings and patterns. This species typically inhabits forests and densely wooded savannas. Individuals of both sexes prefer to fly high in the tree tops. Its known distribution covers Nigeria, Sudan, Ethiopia, Democratic Republic of Congo, Uganda, Kenya, Tanzania, Malawi, Zambia, Angola, Mozambique, Zimbabwe, Botswana, South Africa, and Swaziland.
