About Muhlenbergia reverchonii Vasey & Scribn.
Muhlenbergia reverchonii Vasey & Scribn. is a species of grass commonly known as seep muhly. It is native to Oklahoma and Texas in the United States. This plant is a perennial bunchgrass that grows erect stems reaching up to 80 centimeters, or 31.5 inches, tall. Its hairlike leaves grow up to 35 centimeters long. The inflorescence is a panicle holding brown to purplish spikelets. Older established stands of the grass form a curly, fibrous mass. In the wild, it grows on rocky calcareous substrates like limestone outcrops. It is cultivated for ornamental use, and the cultivar 'Autumn Embers' produces panicles that are a more pink color.
