About Mucronella fusiformis (Kauffman) K.A.Harrison

Mucronella fusiformis is a fungus species that belongs to the family Clavariaceae. C. H. Kauffman first described this species in 1926 under the name Myxomycidium fusiformis. Its holotype collection was made on Mount Hood, Oregon. In 1972, mycologist K.A. Harrison reclassified the species, moving it to the genus Mucronella to create the current accepted name Mucronella fusiformis (Kauffman) K.A.Harrison.
