About Mortonagrion varralli Fraser, 1920

This species is a small damselfly. It has a ground-coloured head and brown-capped grey eyes. Its thorax is pale brown, marked with a narrow antehumeral pale blue stripe, and the base of the thorax is also pale blue. Its abdomen is reddish-brown, and the 8th abdominal segment has a broader pale sky-blue basal annule that extends toward the tip on each side. Females of this species are similar in appearance to males. This damselfly is commonly found at sea level or in the foothills of the Western Ghats. Like other species in the genus Copera, it prefers to inhabit dense undergrowth.
