About Morpho sulkowskyi Kollar, 1850

Morpho sulkowskyi, commonly known as Sulkowsky's morpho, is a Neotropical butterfly species. It can be found in Colombia, Ecuador, and Peru. This butterfly is a specialist species that lives in the Tropical Andes cloud forest habitat, occurring at elevations from above 800 to 1,500 meters, and reaching as high as 3,500 meters. Alongside Morpho lympharis, Morpho sulkowskyi is one of the only two Morpho species that occupy this specific cloud forest habitat.
