About Mormidea ypsilon (Fabricius, 1775)

This species, Mormidea ypsilon, measures between 7 and 9 millimeters in body length. It is primarily brown in color, with faint yellow tones. A distinct, prominent Y-shaped mark ranging from pale cream to yellow appears on its scutellum. The shoulder regions of its pronotum can be either narrowly rounded, or tipped with small spines. This species is distributed across Argentina, Brazil, Colombia, Guatemala, British Guiana, Honduras, Mexico, Nicaragua, Panama, Suriname, Uruguay, and the Lesser Antilles.
