About Mordella hubbsi Liljeblad, 1922

Mordella hubbsi is a species of beetle belonging to the genus Mordella, family Mordellidae, and superfamily Tenebrionoidea. This species was first described and documented in 1922. It is distributed in the western United States. Adult Mordella hubbsi are primarily black and gray, with distinct rusty brown coloring on the femora of their front and middle leg pairs; this feature separates the species from other similar species in the genus Mordella. Adult individuals of this species grow to between 5 and 6 millimetres, or 0.20 to 0.24 inches, in length, and adults are active during the months of June and July.
