Montifringilla adamsi, commonly known as the black-winged snowfinch or Adams's snowfinch, is a species of bird in the sparrow family. It is found in China, India, Nepal, and Pakistan. Its natural habitat is subtropical or tropical dry shrubland. It is a common resident species in the Tibetan plateau region of north-western Nepal. In this area, it lives at elevations of 4,200โ€“5,100 metres (13,800โ€“16,700 ft) during the summer, and at 2,530โ€“3,445 metres (8,301โ€“11,302 ft) during the winter, occupying open stony hillsides, plateaus, and areas near villages.
