About Montifringilla adamsi Adams, 1859
Montifringilla adamsi, commonly known as the black-winged snowfinch or Adams's snowfinch, is a species of bird in the sparrow family. It is found in China, India, Nepal, and Pakistan. Its natural habitat is subtropical or tropical dry shrubland. It is a common resident species in the Tibetan plateau region of north-western Nepal. In this area, it lives at elevations of 4,200โ5,100 metres (13,800โ16,700 ft) during the summer, and at 2,530โ3,445 metres (8,301โ11,302 ft) during the winter, occupying open stony hillsides, plateaus, and areas near villages.
