About Monosapyga clavicornis (Linnaeus, 1758)

This species, Monosapyga clavicornis, reaches an adult body length of 8–12 millimetres. Its body is black, with small yellow spots present on the head, thorax, and legs. Each of the second through fourth abdominal segments bears a pair of yellow patches; these patches usually merge to form continuous band-like markings. An additional yellow spot sits in the center of the final abdominal tergite; this spot is whitish in male individuals. The tips of the antennae are yellow-brown.
