Mohavea breviflora Coville is a hairy annual herb that grows erect, reaching a maximum height close to 20 centimeters. Its leaves are arranged alternately along the stem and are lance-shaped. Flowers grow in the leaf axils. Each flower is around 2 centimeters wide, structured into an upper lip with two lobes and a swollen lower lip with three lobes. The flower is yellow, marked with scattered red speckles.
