About Mnesampela privata (Guenée, 1857)
Mnesampela privata, commonly known as the autumn gum moth, is a moth species belonging to the family Geometridae. This species was first described by Achille Guenée. It is found across most of Australia. The adult moth has a wingspan of approximately 40 mm. The larvae of Mnesampela privata feed on Eucalyptus species, and this species is considered a pest of Eucalyptus plantations.
