Mixophyes coggeri Mahony, Donnellan, Richards & McDonald, 2006 reaches approximately 105 mm in snout-vent length (SVL). Its dorsal surface is brown, with darker patches running along the midline. The belly is yellow-white, while the limbs bear dark horizontal bars, and the backs of the thighs have large cream blotches. This species has unwebbed fingers and webbed toes. It is distributed across the Wet Tropics region of north-eastern Queensland.
