Mithrodia clavigera, first described by Lamarck in 1816, is a species of tropical starfish that belongs to the family Mithrodiidae. It has a pale flesh base color marked with large brick-red patches. When its specimens are preserved in alcohol, the entire body becomes uniformly white.
