Mischocarpus pyriformis is a tree that grows up to 18 metres (59 feet) tall, with a trunk diameter of 50 cm (20 inches). It is considered an attractive small tree with pleasant glossy foliage. Its trunk is typically cylindrical, but can sometimes grow into an irregular shape. The bark comes in varying shades of grey, and is mostly smooth aside from raised bumps or pustules. Its small branches are thick and smooth, and are coloured brown or greenish brown.
