About Mimophobetron pyropsalis Hampson, 1904
Mimophobetron is a monotypic moth genus in the family Crambidae. Eugene G. Munroe first described this genus in 1950. The genus contains only a single species: Mimophobetron pyropsalis, which George Hampson described in 1904. This species has been recorded in Central America, specifically Panama, Costa Rica, Mexico, and Honduras, as well as in the Bahamas and the U.S. state of Florida.
