Milionia basalis is a moth species that belongs to the family Geometridae. It was first formally described by Francis Walker in 1854. This species is distributed across Japan, the northeastern region of the Himalayas, Myanmar, and Sundaland. The wingspan of Milionia basalis adults ranges from 50 to 56 millimeters. The species' larvae feed on plants from the Dacrydium and Podocarpus genera. Adult Milionia basalis are active during the daytime. In the mountain areas of Peninsular Malaysia, adult individuals feed on the nectar from flowers of Leptospermum flavescens.
