Mictyris brevidactylus Stimpson, 1858 is a species of crab. This crab is found in Japan, China (Hong Kong, which is its type location, is included in this range), Taiwan, Singapore, and parts of Indonesia, specifically Karakelong, Bawean and Ambon Island. Adult individuals of this species have a light-blue carapace and legs with scarlet-colored joints, while juvenile individuals are yellowish-brown. M. brevidactylus is a gregarious species. When disturbed, it burrows into sand using a corkscrew motion.
