About Micryletta erythropoda (Tarkhnishvili, 1994)

Micryletta erythropoda, commonly called the Mada paddy frog, is a species of frog in the family Microhylidae. This species has been recorded in Myanmar, Thailand, and Vietnam. Its natural habitats are swamps, freshwater marshes, and intermittent freshwater marshes. It was formerly classified in the genus Microhyla, but a 2018 study confirmed it belongs to the genus Micryletta. Before 2019, M. erythropoda was considered endemic to Vietnam. A 2019 study found that several Micryletta populations in southern Myanmar and Thailand that were previously classified as M. inornata actually belong to this species, M. erythropoda.
