Microlophus barringtonensis, commonly known as the Santa Fe lava lizard, is recognized either as a distinct species of lava lizard or as a population of Microlophus albemarlensis. This reptile lives on Santa Fe Island in the Galápagos, where it is the only lava lizard present, and it is extremely common there.
