Microlinyphia pusilla is a spider species that belongs to the family Linyphiidae. This species has a Holarctic distribution. Before its reclassification in 1928, it was scientifically named Linyphia pusilla. Microlinyphia pusilla shows strong sexual dimorphism. Males are black, shiny, and have a narrow abdomen; their body length, excluding legs, is approximately 5 mm. Females are slightly larger than males, with a much plumper, silvery abdomen that has a leaf-shaped black marking. This spider builds small, hammock-shaped webs in vegetation close to the ground.
