About Microhyla berdmorei (Blyth, 1856)

Description: Male Microhyla berdmorei reach a snout–vent length of 25–28 mm (0.98–1.10 in), while females grow to 27–45 mm (1.1–1.8 in). This species has a characteristic yellowish belly, relatively long legs, and is capable of impressive jumps. Tadpoles of Microhyla berdmorei grow up to 23 mm (0.91 in) in length.

Habitat: Microhyla berdmorei lives in multiple types of moist evergreen forest. It is generally associated with hilly regions and is often found near streams. Breeding occurs mainly in still pools, and males form large breeding choruses. It is a common species in areas with suitable habitat, but it is not found on Borneo.
