About Micrixalus kottigeharensis (Rao, 1937)
Male Micrixalus kottigeharensis reach a snout–vent length of 22–24 mm (0.87–0.94 in), while females grow to 28–33 mm (1.1–1.3 in). This species prefers fast-flowing streams within primary and secondary forests. It is most frequently found in shaded, structurally complex stream habitats, and has a particular association with emergent rocks, riffles, and braided stream sections. Micrixalus kottigeharensis is currently threatened by habitat loss. This species is endemic to the central Western Ghats of India.
