Micranthes micranthidifolia (Haw.) Small is a member of the Saxifrage family. It has several common names: lettuceleaf saxifrage, branch lettuce, brook lettuce, and bear's lettuce. This plant grows in wet areas and along mountain streams. It is native to the Great Smoky Mountains, and can also be found in many other areas of the southeastern United States.
