Meyriccia is a monotypic genus of snout moths, meaning it contains only one species: Meyriccia latro (Zeller, 1873). This species is native to Australia. It has a wingspan of approximately 30 millimeters. The larvae of Meyriccia latro feed on species in the genus Xanthorrhoea, including Xanthorrhoea semiplana. The larvae live together in communal silken webs, and bore holes into the seed heads of their host plant. Mature larvae reach a length of around 20 millimeters.
