Mesophleps adustipennis, commonly known as the soybean webworm moth, is a moth species belonging to the family Gelechiidae. It occurs in the western and southern United States, including the states of California, Texas, Mississippi, and Florida. Its distribution also extends through Mexico, Honduras, Costa Rica, Panama, Cuba, the West Indies (Cayman Islands, Jamaica, Puerto Rico, Guana, St Thomas, St Croix, Anguilla, Dominica, Barbados, Grenada, Tobago, Trinidad), Venezuela, Ecuador including the Galapagos Islands, Peru, and multiple states of Brazil: Rondônia, Amazonas, Maranhão, Minas Gerais, Espírito Santo, and São Paulo. This moth has a wingspan ranging from 7.5 to 18 millimeters. The larvae of this species feed on Cajanus cajan, Crotalaria, Acacia farnesiana, and Pithecellobium pallens.
