Mesocnemis singularis is a species of damselfly belonging to the family Platycnemididae. Its common names are riverjack, savanna riverjack, common riverjack, savanna brook-damsel, and savanna stream-damsel. This species has a widespread distribution across sub-Saharan Africa, and has been recorded in Angola, Botswana, Cameroon, the Democratic Republic of the Congo, Ivory Coast, Gabon, Ghana, Guinea, Kenya, Liberia, Malawi, Mozambique, Namibia, Nigeria, Sierra Leone, South Africa, Sudan, Tanzania, Togo, Uganda, Zambia, and Zimbabwe. Its natural habitats are open, rocky rivers and streams located in savanna, bush or forest, as well as the rocky shores of lakes.
