Meroptera pravella is a species of snout moth that belongs to the genus Meroptera. This species was first described by Augustus Radcliffe Grote in 1878. It is native to western North America, with a distribution ranging from British Columbia south and east to Idaho, Utah, Colorado, and eastern Oregon. The forewings of adult Meroptera pravella measure 9 to 10 mm in length. Adult moths are active and can be seen in flight from May through July each year. The larvae of this moth feed on plants belonging to the Salicaceae family, most commonly including Populus tremuloides. Rarely, larvae may also be found feeding on species of Betula and Alnus.
