Adults of Meroles anchietae reach approximately 5 centimeters (2.0 inches) in snout-to-vent length. This species is native to Angola and Namibia. Its preferred natural habitat is desert made up of aeolian sand dunes with sparse vegetation, occurring at altitudes ranging from sea level up to 500 meters (1,600 feet). Meroles anchietae reproduces by laying eggs, meaning it is oviparous. Its scientific name is Meroles anchietae (Bocage, 1867).
