The genus contains only one species, Merodictya marmorata, which was described by Thomas Pennington Lucas in 1892. This species is found in Australia, with confirmed records from the regions of Queensland and New South Wales. Adult individuals of Merodictya marmorata are blotchy brown, and have a scattering of white spots across their wings.
