About Melodinus acutiflorus F.Muell.

Melodinus acutiflorus F.Muell. is a vine species belonging to the plant family Apocynaceae. It has three common names: white-flowered melodinus, byamurra, and merangarra. This species grows naturally in Papua New Guinea, as well as in the Australian states of Queensland and New South Wales. It was formally described in 1857 by Ferdinand von Mueller, a botanist working for the Victorian government. The description was based on plant material collected from areas near the Brisbane River.
