Melanolophia signataria, commonly called the signate melanolophia, is a moth species that belongs to the family Geometridae. Its range extends from Nova Scotia south to Florida, westward to Saskatchewan and East Texas. The wingspan of this species measures 30 to 35 mm. Adult signate melanolophia moths are active and fly from March through August each year. The larvae of Melanolophia signataria feed on the leaves of a broad range of tree species. Confirmed host trees include alder, elm, birch, fir, larch, maple, oak, poplar, and spruce.
