About Medicago orbicularis (L.) Bartal.
Medicago orbicularis (L.) Bartal. is a species of plant that grows across the Mediterranean basin and along the European coast of the Black Sea. This species forms a symbiotic relationship with Sinorhizobium medicae, a nitrogen-fixing bacterium. Its common names are blackdisk medick, button clover, button medick, and round-fruited medick. The seed pods of Medicago orbicularis are edible, and they are foraged between March and May in Israel (Palestine).
