About Malesherbia humilis Poepp.

Malesherbia humilis Poepp. is an annual herb that grows in the subtropical regions of northern and central Chile extending into Argentina. Within Chile, this species occurs from Santiago to Guatacondo. Some specimens have been collected from Neuquén province, Argentina. It typically grows at altitudes below 1000m, though some individuals have been collected at elevations as high as 2900m. It is found growing in rocky, arid soils.
