About Malaxis monophyllos (L.) Sw.

Malaxis monophyllos, commonly known as the white adder's mouth, is a terrestrial orchid species. It has a wide distribution across much of Europe (including Germany, Italy, Poland, Scandinavia, Ukraine, and other areas), Asia (including China, Japan, Russia, Nepal, the Philippines, and other areas), and most of southern Canada. Within the United States, it grows primarily in southern Alaska, New England, and the Great Lakes region, with isolated populations documented in Colorado and California.
