About Malacolimax tenellus (O.F.Müller, 1774)
Malacolimax tenellus (O.F.Müller, 1774) has a yellow body, ranging from pale to bright yellow, sometimes with a faint orange tint. Its sole is pale yellow, and it produces yellow slime. The head is gray or lilac, and the tentacles are typically tinged with purple or colored blue-gray. This species can grow up to 50 mm (2 in) in length. It has been recorded in the Czech Republic (where it is classified as least concern, LC), Ukraine, Great Britain, Ireland, the Pyrenees, Croatia, and Romania. It thrives in both deciduous and coniferous woodland, and typically feeds on fungi at night. Known parasites of Malacolimax tenellus include Elaphostrongylus spp.
