About Malacoctenus triangulatus Springer, 1959

Malacoctenus triangulatus, commonly known as the saddled blenny, is a species of labrisomid blenny fish. It is native to the Atlantic Ocean, the Gulf of Mexico, and the Caribbean Sea, with a range extending from southern Florida to the coast of Brazil. This fish lives on rocky shores and in reef habitats, found at depths from near the surface down to 40 metres (130 feet). It is most commonly encountered in waters shallower than 3 metres (9.8 feet). Adults of this species can reach a maximum total length of 7.5 centimetres (3.0 inches). This species is also available within the aquarium trade.
