About Mahathala ameria (Hewitson, 1862)

Mahathala ameria, commonly known as the falcate oakblue, is a species of blue butterfly belonging to the family Lycaenidae. This species is native to South-East Asia. Its range extends across South-East Asia: in India, it occurs from Bengal to Assam, the Khasi Hills, and other regions of north-east India, and continues through southern Myanmar, Thailand, Laos, and Java. It can also be found in western and southern China, as well as on Hainan Island and Taiwan.
