About Magnolia coco (Lour.) DC.

Magnolia coco, commonly known as the coconut magnolia, is a flowering plant species belonging to the Magnoliaceae family. It is native to southern China, Taiwan, Cambodia, and northern Vietnam. In garden settings, it grows as a small tree reaching 2 to 4 meters (7 to 13 feet) in height. It is hardy to USDA zone 9, and can also be grown as a houseplant. Some sources incorrectly refer to this species as Magnolia pumila. It is called yi hoob flower in Thai, and Yi hoop flower in Khmer.
