About Macrozamia macdonnellii (F.Muell. ex Miq.) A.DC.

Macrozamia macdonnellii produces large, pinnate, frond-shaped bluish-green leaves that radiate from the apex of a stocky trunk. This species is dioecious, meaning male and female reproductive cones grow on separate individual plants. Female cones are broader than male cones, and they partially enclose egg-sized seeds that have a bright red outer layer called a sarcotesta.
