Scientific name: Macrotristria sylvara (Distant, 1901). Description: Adult Macrotristria sylvara have green markings on their face, thorax, and the costal vein of the forewing. Yellow and brown coloration also appears on the thorax and abdomen. The length of the forewing of adults ranges from 48 to 62 mm. Distribution and habitat: This species occurs from the Torres Strait, along the Queensland coast, extending south to approximately the area around Ingham. Its native habitat includes coastal bushland, open forest, and parks.
