Macroperipatus torquatus is a species of velvet worm that belongs to the Peripatidae family. Individuals of this species have a brown or red back marked with a bright yellow collar, a black head with black antennae, and a white underside with a red tint. They have between 37 and 42 pairs of legs; most commonly they have 39 to 41 leg pairs, and 41 pairs is the most frequent number. The body length of these velvet worms falls between 100 mm and 150 mm. This species is known for its large size and numerous legs. Mature females of the species weigh between 1.75 g and up to 5.68 g. Macroperipatus torquatus is found in Trinidad.
