About Macronus bornensis (Bonaparte, 1850)
Commonly called the bold-striped tit-babbler, this species has the scientific name Macronus bornensis (Bonaparte, 1850). This bird has a distinct yellowish supercilium and a rufous crown. Its yellowish throat is marked with brown streaks. Its call is a loud, repeated chonk-chonk-chonk-chonk-chonk, which is somewhat similar to the call of the common tailorbird. The bold-striped tit-babbler occurs in Borneo and Java.
