About Macrochilo absorptalis Walker, 1859
Macrochilo absorptalis, commonly known as the slant-lined owlet moth or slant-lined fan-foot, is a litter moth species that belongs to the family Erebidae. This species has a distribution ranging from Manitoba to Nova Scotia in the north, extending southward to Georgia and Texas. The adult moth has a wingspan of approximately 22 millimeters. Adult Macrochilo absorptalis are active in flight from May through September. In the northern parts of its range, this species produces one generation per year. In more southern regions, it has two or more generations annually.
