About Lystra pulverulenta (Olivier, 1791)

Identification: This species has a waxy-coated head and thorax, and features a prominent, long "wax tail". The basal two-thirds of its forewing is entirely covered in wax, a trait that distinguishes it from Lystra lanata. The remaining portion of the forewing is black. Distribution: This species occurs in Brazil, Suriname, and French Guinea.
