About Lysimachia ephemerum L.

Lysimachia ephemerum, commonly called willow-leaved loosestrife or milky loosestrife, is a flowering plant species in the Primulaceae (primrose) family. It is native to France, Spain, Portugal, and Morocco. This hardy herbaceous perennial grows grey-green foliage, and produces erect racemes of delicate white flowers with purple stamens on stems that reach 1 m (3.3 ft) tall in early summer. It is grown as an ornamental garden plant, and has been awarded the Royal Horticultural Society's Award of Garden Merit. To grow well, it needs a location in full sun and consistently moist soil.
