About Lygus wagneri Remane, 1955

Lygus wagneri can reach a length of 5.4–7 millimetres (0.21–0.28 in). Individuals of this bug species have a coloration that ranges from golden gray to olive brown, with small reddish patches. The head features longitudinal dark brown lines between the eyes, while the antennae are greyish brown. The scutellum bears a dark W-shaped marking. This species is extremely similar to Lygus pratensis, but on average it is slightly smaller, with a shorter wing membrane, and its corium has less dense pubescence. This species is widespread across most of Europe. It typically inhabits meadows and open, uncultivated areas.
