About Lycoperdon curtisii Berk.

Lycoperdon curtisii Berk. is a puffball mushroom species belonging to the genus Lycoperdon. It was first formally described scientifically in 1859 by Miles Joseph Berkeley. Hanns Kreisel published the name Vascellum curtisii in 1963, and this name is a synonym of Lycoperdon curtisii. Recorded observations note that its fruit bodies, the puffballs, can grow forming fairy rings. This species is nonpoisonous.
