About Lycaste aromatica (Graham) Lindl.
Lycaste aromatica (Graham) Lindl. has ovate pseudobulbs, deciduous lanceolate leaves, and erect flower spikes that reach around 15 centimetres (5.9 in) in length. Its flowers are yellow-orange, fragrant, and approximately 7 centimetres (2.8 in) wide. Its flowering season lasts from late spring through summer. This orchid can grow both as a terrestrial plant and as an epiphyte on mossy branches. Lycaste aromatica is native to Central America, where it occurs in Mexico, Belize, Guatemala, Nicaragua, Honduras, and El Salvador. It grows on moss-covered branches, on damp limestone cliffs, in tropical semi-deciduous forests, and in warm oak forests alongside streams. It prefers diffused bright light in moist conditions, with a cool to warm climate, and grows at altitudes between 500 and 2,000 metres (1,600–6,600 ft) above sea level.
