Lupinus variicolor Steud. is a species of shrub in the lupine genus Lupinus. It is commonly known by several common names: varied lupine, manycolored lupine, Lindley's varied lupine, and varicolored lupine. This species is endemic to California. It grows mostly along California's northern coast, though it has also been recorded in the state's Sutter County. It thrives at elevations ranging from sea level up to 500 m, or 1,640 ft. It serves as one of the food plants for the endangered mission blue butterfly.
